Offer Description
  • Teach at the Department of Musicology and Performance Studies (an average of 4 contact hours per week each semester)
  • Supervise final theses (BA, MA, Diploma)
  • Conduct research
  • Participate in the academic administration of the department and the mdw

Salary: Gross salary, according to the collective agreement (“Kollektivvertrag”), of € 4,752.30 per month (14 payments per year).

  • A university degree appropriate to the subject area and a doctorate in musicology
  • Outstanding academic qualifications, as evidenced by publications, presentations, etc.
  • University teaching experience in the field of historical musicology

  • Experience in academic teaching and research at the interface of music practice and mediation
  • A keen interest in music history teaching at the university level and its further development
  • Familiarity with current research discourses within musicology
  • Experience in the supervision of academic theses
  • Compatibility with the department’s main research areas
  • Teamwork skills

Selection process
