VIRTUAL VEHICLE is an internationally successful research and development center for virtual vehicle technologies. We deal with future vehicle concepts and future development processes. Current developments in the field of powertrains and driver assistance systems are leading to strongly software-based vehicles (software-defined car) and therefore require a rethink and new approaches in vehicle development. With over 300 employees, we are the largest research center for virtual vehicle development in Europe. We are working on safe, environmentally friendly and affordable vehicles of the future.
The objective of this role is to contribute to the development of future automotive/rail/aerospace applications.
Your Tasks
- Modelling of (alternative) energy and thermal management systems for future automotive / rail / aerospace applications
- Modelling of refrigeration circuits/systems and validation on test bench in the climate chamber
- Development of future control strategies (e.g. predictive control, etc.)
- Evaluation and post-processing of simulation and/or measurement results
- Partner meetings and presentation of results
Your Profile
- Completed technical master's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical
engineering, automation and/or control technology or similar. - Relevant professional experience is most welcome.
- Knowledge of thermodynamics and control engineering is assumed
- Basic programming capabilities (MATLAB®, Simulink, Pyhton, etc.)
- Independent and structured way of working
- Enjoy scientific work in applied research.

The minimum annual salary, depending on qualification and classification, is EUR 47,000 gross (fulltime). An overpayment is possible and depends on qualification and the present special experience.
