About This Opportunity
The Education Manager will lead the educational programs within the Department of Agriculture and Applied Rural. This pivotal role involves steering the department’s programs and staff towards excellence in teaching, learning, and program development.
This position reports to the Associate Director, Education and Training.
Key responsibilities will include:
Oversee the development and execution of curriculum and teaching practices, ensuring educational excellence and a positive student experience.
Teach and assess courses within the department’s programs while managing recruitment and mentorship of teaching staff, aligning with operational needs and strategic educational goals.
Lead compliance with educational standards and regulatory requirements, while driving departmental growth through key performance indicators.
Coordinate with leadership to support business development and maintain quality assurance in vocational education programs.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our heritage rural Gatton campus .
About You
Completion of a relevant degree or diploma qualification with previous experience in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)/Adult Education environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to forge lasting relationships with stakeholders.
Proven experience driving teaching and assessment practices, in the vocational education sector, including designing and developing innovative teaching and assessment curriculum.
The successful candidate may be required to complete background checks including: criminal history and education checks.
