(HE06) $86,360 - $93,285 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

3 x two-year and 1 x one-year fixed term contract opportunities for Timetable & Planning Officers to join the Division of Academic and Student Engagement.

The positions will individually support the Timetable and Planning teams in Faculty of Health & Medical Science (HMS), Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SET) and Faculty of Arts, Business Law and Economics (ABLE)

Student Administration provides responsive services and administration for students and academic staff in support of learning and teaching. Student Administration is responsible for the administrative support of students throughout the student lifecycle from admission to the completion of studies. The Student Administration unit includes Admission Operations (domestic and international), Coursework Scholarships, International Compliance, Timetabling and Planning, Enrolment, Systems and Student Data Collection, Examinations and Results and Graduations.  

Working under general direction, the Timetable and Planning Officer is responsible for the maintenance and delivery of a range of learning and teaching data that supports the university’s academic programs and associated student and staff services, such as academic program rule updates, course catalogue updates, timetabling, class allocations, scheduling and enrolment management. The Timetable and Planning Officer provides expert advice about the utilisation of teaching space for the purpose of proactively supporting the pedagogical objectives of the University. Working in close collaboration with academic staff, this role provides specialised support to translate learning and teaching requirements into the system core business systems.

To be successful you will need:

Essential:

  • The ability to interact collegially with professional and academic staff and strive for excellence to ensure best outcomes for students, academics, and the university.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail that are essential for timetabling, class scheduling and curriculum system processes in a tertiary environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, implementing plans to achieve defined outcomes, and the ability to investigate, analyse and implement procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner and to work collaboratively to deliver student centric results.

 Desirable:

  • Experience in timetabling and class scheduling and other student and curriculum system processes.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of the University environment, policies and procedures, and their application in the provision of student administration.
