About the position

This position will provide a broad range of technical, administrative, and facilities-based support to assist teaching staff and students to achieve teaching, learning and research outcomes associated mainly with the Health Cluster.

The incumbent will have responsibilities to ensure that the teaching and research needs of disciplines including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and orthoptics are met, and are consistent with service expectations and within the policies, procedures, and regulations of the University.

Routine tasks include:

  • Set-up and pack-down of classes,
  • Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and
  • Management of consumables.

Skills and Experience

  • Completion of a Diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience; or completion of a Certificate IV with relevant work experience; or completion of a post-trades certificate and extensive relevant experience and; on the job training; or completion of a Certificate III with extensive relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
  • High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing,spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
  • A background in Health, Health Sciences, or Science/Laboratory work.
