What you'll do

As part of the First Nations Student Success team, the role of Team Leader (First Nations Student Success) is pivotal in achieving the retention outcomes of current and future First Nations Students. 

  • Lead, manage, and provide effective daily support services to First Nations students through resolution of complex and sensitive student enquiries.
  • Holistically and inclusively develop, coordinate, implement and monitor the effectiveness of student success services.
  • Organization and oversight of key events and initiatives related to First Nations students.

What will help you succeed

  • A demonstrated understanding and awareness of Australian Indigenous perspectives, cultures, and societies and how historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Capability to quickly establish rapport and empathy.
  • Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated leadership in the development and implementation of innovative programs in Service Delivery environment, underpinned by excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in outcome measurement, reporting using data to inform process improvement of initiatives and services.

Salary: Total remuneration range $112,314 to $124,193 pa (includes salary range of $94,900 to $104,937 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
