The Team Leader, Admissions, coordinates and delivers efficient and effective student admissions processes for the University and provides support for the managements of resources, systems, and processes for the area. The position ensures the efficient, effective, and timely delivery of admissions caseload and allocated team responsibilities and works closely with a range of stakeholders to deliver the best result for the local area and the broader university.

As a Team Leader, you will:

  • Act as a coach and work with team members to facilitate growth and development by giving balanced constructive feedback.  
  • Identify core issues from the complex admission and recognition of prior learning (RPL) function and draw accurate conclusions, condensing complex information and next steps into simple concise terms that others can understand.  
  • Liaise frequently with key stakeholders regarding admission and recognition of prior learning (RPL) processes and services.  
  • Engage in process improvement activities and adopt new ideas to enhance and improve current processes and systems through the appropriate communication channels.  
  • Ensure that admissions caseload and team objectives are met in a timely manner.  

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or 
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields 
  • Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. 
  • Experience in coordinating large scale processes in a tertiary institution in student administration. 
  • Experience in people leadership.
