As a result of increasing recruitment activity and levels across the University UNSW has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition Consultant to join UNSW, a top 20 employer in Australia. In this key role within our team, you will provide a collaborative, solutions and customer focussed approach, to help support defined areas of UNSW within our Divisional and Faculties areas. In addition to the usual exceptional TA service support, you will also be a key contributor with recruitment process improvements more broadly.  

In this role you will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders both Professional Staff and Academics at all levels, and across all areas of the University in both our Faculties and Divisions. You will be the primary point of contact, assist and consult closely with our hiring managers on the full end-to-end recruitment process, all associated recruitment activities and provide excellent candidate care in line with UNSWs policies. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the broader Talent Team on innovative projects and process improvements.

Why Your Role Matters:

  • You will deliver an effective end-to-end recruitment process, primarily for mid to senior management level roles, ensuring a positive and seamless recruitment experience for candidates and hiring managers. Delivering strong account management for client groups and monitoring KPI’s and client satisfaction.
  • Help provide collaborative recruitment and selection advice to clients, stakeholders and peers regarding (but not limited to): attraction and advertising strategies, candidate management, behavioural interviewing, reference checking, pre-employment checks, preparation of offer letters and remuneration negotiations.
  • You are committed to providing excellent candidate management and engagement throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Use of a broad range of mediums to engage candidates including social media, internet sourcing, database searches etc for active and passive candidates and where necessary additional sourcing of passive candidates via networking, direct approaches (headhunting), search committees and research.
  • Collaborate on emerging enhancements to refine UNSW’s employee value proposition frameworks/ offering in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide direct support for recruitment project delivery, and recruitment process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced consultants and staff within the team. 

Who You Are:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience working as a talent acquisition consultant with a mix of agency and in-house exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting mid to senior management level roles and using executive search methodologies applied to specialist technical and executive level roles.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the delivery of contemporary recruitment, selection, and talent pool attraction strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing a positive culture of candidate care and strong candidate management.
  • Demonstrable experience in recruitment project management/delivery and system/process improvements.
  • Prior experience with the development and ongoing enhancement of an employee value proposition framework highly regarded.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, interact effectively with a wide client base, manage expectations, and communicate and influence positive outcomes.
