About the team

The Office of Research is in the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and provides service and support to the UWA community and its partners in their pursuit of high quality, trusted, innovative research for our community.

Teams in the Office of Research are structured to develop, enable and protect research using a model that is researcher focused and encompasses specialist knowledge, education and development, enhanced visibility, and research management processes via online systems and governance.

The Research Infrastructure & Partnerships team sits within Research Enterprise and provides business development support to ensure world class research infrastructure is available to WA researchers and industry.

About the opportunity

In this position, you will provide project and administrative support to the Research Infrastructure and Partnerships team.

About you 

You will have the ability to work independently to a high standard with careful attention to detail. Ideally, you will have worked in a research or service team environment and have a drive to ensure projects stay on track. You will enjoy solving problems with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines. An interest in managing and marketing events would be an advantage.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
  • Demonstrated high level literacy with proven experience in gathering and interpreting information, writing reports and communicating information to a wide range of stakeholders in a variety of formats
  • Substantial experience in providing successful service-oriented administration of funding programs or development initiatives
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
  • Experience in marketing including website content development and event coordination is desirable
  • Experience in research administration is desirable
