About the Role
The Subject Coordinator for Principles of Clinical Practice 3 (PCP3), the core clinical subject in the third year of the MD. Focusing on diverse patient populations, including woman’s health, children’s health, aged care, mental health and in primary care. The learnings from this subject, plays a crucial role in developing students' skills in holistic patient care. This position, suitable for an academic interested in integrated practice, involves close collaboration with clinical schools, departments, and healthcare partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the subject coordination, curriculum delivery and planning for PCP3 in line with the expectations outlined in the UoM Framework for Educational Excellence
- Lead continuous refinement of the PCP3 curriculum structure and content, in line with advances in disciplinary knowledge and educational practice
- Work collaboratively with the MD assessment team, assessment panels and subject coordinators to develop, implement and innovate in assessment, ensuring alignment to PCP3 learning outcomes and across all subjects in the MD
- Work collaboratively with the MD evaluation team and subject coordinators to ensure the continuous improvement in PCP3
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills for establishing effective and collaborative working relationships across a broad research and teaching network, along with strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
You will also have:
- An educational qualification, or work towards one
- A health professional degree, registerable as a health practitioner in Australia
- Significant experience in medical and/or healthcare professional education, curriculum delivery and co-ordination of innovative research curriculum
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective and collaborative working relationships across a broad research and teaching network

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
