About the Roles

Student Services Representative, Contact Centre
Play a pivotal role in our student-centered environment as a Student Services Representative in our Contact Centre. Whether in person, virtually, or over email, you'll be at the forefront of assisting students through various stages of their academic journey. You'll be the go-to resource from providing vital information about fees, administrative processes, and academic documentation to aiding with enrollment, scholarships, and student cards.

Your role will extend beyond administrative tasks; you'll also connect students with essential support services and serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries. As an ambassador for the University of Melbourne and Stop 1, you'll have the chance to make a lasting impact on students' experiences from the start.

StudentServices Representative, In-Person Support
As a Student Services Representative In-Person Support, you'll play a crucial role in a bustling, student-focused environment. You'll be at the forefront of assisting students throughout their academic journey via in-person appointments, concierge or email. From providing essential information about fees, administrative processes, and academic documentation to facilitating enrollment, scholarships, and student card issuance, you'll be the trusted guide.

You'll also collaborate with various teams within Student Services and across the university to ensure students are connected with the support they need from the get-go. As one of the initial points of contact, you'll represent both the University of Melbourne and Stop 1, embodying our commitment to student success.

Who we are looking for
Are you a customer service professional who thrives under pressure? We're on the lookout for passionate individuals who excel in fast-paced, frontline customer service roles. If you love working collaboratively, showing initiative, and adapting to change, you're exactly who we're seeking. Your strong interpersonal communication skills will be key as you navigate challenging situations and deliver top-notch service.

You will also have:

  • A tertiary qualification and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, share information and support colleagues.
  • Ability to apply sound judgement, be sensitive to individual circumstances, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Stop 1 is the University of Melbourne’s primary student services centre. Our frontline teams provide a range of information, guidance and advice for all coursework students, from general admin and enrolment enquiries, to complex course planning and referrals to specialist services. Services are delivered via online enquiries, over the phone and in person.
