  • Full-time, fixed term contract until 23 May 2025
  • Commencement Salary: $70,476 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role

Reporting to the Coordinator: Communications and Events, this role contributes to a range of student communications related to the needs of Student Life, the Student Engagement Unit (SEU) and the University at large. 

This role contributes towards the planning, building and maintenance of the SEU’s websites and social media channels, and the development of communications strategies to UniSA students including e-newsletters and channels such as the student portal and UniSA Mobile App.

The Student Engagement Unit (SEU) is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of student facing services that will enhance the on-campus and off-campus student experience for all students. The SEU also takes strategic steps to inform the quality of the student experience of learning and teaching, support services, the learning environment, and student facilities.

SEU services include Orientation, UniSA Sport, Career Services, Student Life, Student Counselling, International Student Support, Learning Advice, Wirringka Student Services, and Access and Inclusion Services.
Essential Skills and Experience

  • An undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, multimedia or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
  • High level editorial and writing skills, with the demonstrated ability to source, write and edit content across web, print and social media channels, with accuracy
  • Demonstrated experience in using digital content management systems (CMS) and updating web content, as well as demonstrated experience managing social media platforms
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple end-to-end communication campaigns with tight timelines, including integrating events into communication plans
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based work environment and develop relationships internally and with externals such as suppliers
