Play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of a leading university as our new Solution Architect.

As a key member of the ITDS team within the esteemed University of Adelaide, you will have the opportunity to lead architectural solutions across a diverse IT portfolio. This role offers the unique chance to drive the implementation of strategic IT projects and influence the digital transformation at the University. You'll be at the forefront of assessing new technologies and ensuring their alignment with the University's goals, significantly enhancing the learning and research capabilities of over 25,000 students and 3500 staff members.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability or potential to excel as a Solution Architect within enterprise IT environments. We welcome applications from experienced Solution Architects as well as those in senior application or infrastructure roles looking to advance their careers by moving into a strategic, architectural position.
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct feasibility assessments, lead pre-feasibility activities, and provide architectural input to planning and demand management.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IT trends, ideally with relevance to the higher education sector.
  • A commitment to uphold and promote the University's values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence, and discovery.
  • Proficiency in formulating and gaining endorsement for options analysis, solution designs and architectural decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive relevant experience, or education/training in a technology-related discipline, such as Computer Science. Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards them would be highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks is preferable.
  • Australian National Police Clearance is a mandatory requirement for this role.
