OVERVIEW
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled professional to join the School of Arts and Humanities. We are looking to recruit a Senior School Officer (Student Placements) to support our growing work integrated learning program across a wide variety of disciplines.
THE ROLE
The role will focus on supporting the School’s work integrated learning program, with a particular focus on providing support for the management of student placements; including student mandatory checks, placement agreements, and the maintenance of student placement records. You will be required to engage with external and internal stakeholders and be responsible for ensuring the effective flow of information to and from the School and key stakeholders. When problems arise, you will be expected to generate solutions in consultation with academic staff and senior colleagues and implement them successfully. On occasion, you may be required to assist with other general administrative work in the School, which may involve contracts, human resource management, financial processes and information management.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
You will be a self-motivated, solutions-focused individual who thrives in a busy and complex environment and enjoys working collaboratively in support of students, academic staff, colleagues and external stakeholders. You will have experience in supporting student placement programs in higher education, and your expertise in working with the Sonia student placement management system will be highly regarded. You will have great attention to detail, especially in data management and in written communication, as well as a capacity to support engage effectively with external stakeholders.
ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT
You will work in a supportive environment as a member of the School’s Administration Team, reporting to the Operations Manager. On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with academic and professional colleagues in the School, and external stakeholders. You will often interact with other schools and central university services.

BENEFITS AND REMUNERATION
This position provides a full-time salary of $81,614 to $90,691 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
