CSIRO’s Health and Biosecurity research programs focus on health and biosecurity preparedness and responsiveness, digital health, and health and wellbeing. The Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) helps protect Australia’s multi-billion-dollar livestock and aquaculture industries, and the general public, from emerging infectious disease threats. It is a high-containment facility designed to allow scientific research into the most dangerous infectious agents in the world.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Dangerous Pathogens team within the Health & Biosecurity (H&B) business unit, based at the ACDP contributing to our research on the high consequence pathogens (including but not limited to Nipah, Ebola or Influenza) and work in the high containment facility managing research projects and contracts in a collaborative environment with a focus on immunology, multi-omics, vaccines/therapeutics and pathogenesis models development.
If you’re experience senior research professional with expertise in virology with focus in infectious diseases and knowledge of other disciplines and independently managed research milestone and demonstrated achievement to formulate, develop and complete an approved research program along with a dynamic team, then do not hesitate to apply!
