  • We have 2 full-time fixed term positions i.e., up to 18 months and up to 10 months, with a salary package of $127,500 to $142,946 (negotiable) including a generous super allowance of up to 17%. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases.

About This Opportunity 

The Project Manager (Timetable and Room Bookings) oversees the implementation of a new Timetable and Room Booking system for UQ. This role involves leading project phases from initiation to completion, managing deliverables, engaging stakeholders, coordinating procurement, and facilitating project reporting.

Key responsibilities will include: 

Project Management and Leadership

  • Overseeing project alignment with strategic objectives and developing detailed project plans.

  • Leading and managing the project team, prioritizing activities, and creatively resolving complex issues.

Communications and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Developing and executing communication strategies for various project stakeholders.

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, client groups, partners, and colleagues.

Project Monitoring, Evaluation, and Financial Management:

  • Facilitating the Project Steering Committee and managing project issues, risks, and changes.

  • Implementing evaluation measures, reporting project status, and overseeing financial aspects such as budget management and procurement activities.


About You  

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology, Project Management or an equivalent combination of qualifications and workplace experience.  In addition, you will have:

  • Proven track record in successfully managing large, complex projects within complex organizational settings.

  • Knowledge of and experience in coordinating vendor selection, alignment, and contract negotiations.

  • Demonstrated application of best-practice project management methodologies tailored to project size, scale, and complexity.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective liaison and negotiation, fostering strong relationships within diverse organizational units.

  • Experience leading project teams, including staff planning, organization, performance management, and development.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
