An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to the equity research objectives of CQUs Centre for Research in Equity and the Advancement of Teaching and Education.

 

The Centre for Research in Equity and Advancement of Teaching and Education (CREATE)  led by  Associate Professor Joanne Dargusch, is a research centre designed to deliver Australia’s only comprehensive approach to new innovations in education aimed at delivering equitable education, training and employment pathways for regional Australians.

 

You will bring to the position your ability to undertake comprehensive investigative research work and expertise in research methods. You will effectively work collaboratively and in multidisciplinary teams and share your knowledge and experience by providing guidance and oversight of others involved in project-based work.

Position Requirements

 

  • Hold a relevant doctoral qualifications or equivalent qualifications or research experience. In addition, some post-doctoral research experience which has resulted in publications, conference papers, reports or professional or technical contributions which give evidence of research ability. 
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in research areas of research strength and a willingness to engage in sourcing and obtaining external grants and contracts. 
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and in multidisciplinary teams as well as providing guidance and oversight of others involved in project based work.
  • Proven ability to undertake comprehensive investigative research work, demonstrating expertise and skill in research methods and ability, including analysis, interpretation of statistics and preparation of research reports and papers.
  • Demonstrated ability liaise, advise and consult with internal and external clients at all levels and maintain positive client relationships.
