About the position

The Senior Officer of International Student Engagement assists in the planning of a range of student-facing events and activities for international students belonging to different cohorts. They report to the Coordinator of International Student Engagement. In order to foster meaningful interactions with their peers from the time of their pre-departure arrival to the end of their commencement student journey, this function seeks to better link foreign students with the larger University community.

This role has a particular focus on regional student engagement and is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating a complete, focused, and dynamic schedule of international student events in support of the annual program for integrated Student Life and Events that spans all regions.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
  • High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
