About the position

The Senior Officer, who reports to the Manager for Admissions, is responsible for  the implementation and execution of administrative processes that support the admissions of the University. The team manage the entire admissions process for new students from application submission through to final offer (including advanced standing decisions). In order to guarantee a uniform approach to customer service delivery and consistent implementation of transactional operations and related procedures, this function will collaborate closely with peers and across teams. This involves handling a high volume of demanding admissions tasks, reporting, quality control, ongoing development, and cooperative knowledge-sharing procedures. 

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
  • High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
  • Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
