  • Salary Level HEW 10A + 17% Superannuation

  • Based at the Melbourne CBD, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

About You
 

The Senior Manager, Delivery Operations, Programs & Delivery will work collaboratively with the ADVC SL&D to provide high-level support and strategic advice. They will lead cross-cluster processes and key initiatives to improve operational effectiveness and delivery compliance for the College of VE. The manager will provide constructive and practical strategic advice on specific initiatives and work towards achieving the portfolio's strategic and annual operating plans with a specific focus on academic and teaching program support. The role will oversee workforce planning activities and the academic lifecycle, ensuring constructive support to VE LT in operationalizing key activities that align with the academic calendar.

Your deep knowledge of the Vocational Education sector will be essential for this role.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Extensive experience in providing high-level support and strategic advice at Executive level in VE educational contexts.

  • Expertise in the management and delivery of services within a complex organisation, in the tertiary education sector, including familiarity with apprenticeship and traineeship delivery.

  • Experience in the areas of change management and project delivery.

  • Demonstrated experience in a position requiring strong influencing, interpersonal and negotiation skills at senior levels to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience in developing presentations, reports and speaking and briefing notes to a high standard.

  • Proven budget and financial management, planning and business development skills including the ability to provide sound strategic financial advice.

  • Problem solving and analytical ability to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, direct and influence others, including a proven capacity to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external groups.

  • Demonstrate high level computer skills to support accountabilities of the position.

       Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or substantial experience.
