About the team
The UWA Business School is ranked in the Top 4 Best Business Schools in Australia and #1 in Western Australia (2023). In its unique position on the West Coast of Australia, facing the Indo-Pacific, the School aims to extend its education mission to the broader region offering world-class education and leading international research that is relevant to the challenges of today and the future. The UWA Business School has around 100 academic staff and 5,000 students and teaches both undergraduate, postgraduate masters, MBA and PhD courses. It is accredited by both the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and is a signatory to UN PRME.

About the opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Department and making outstanding contributions to teaching, research, and service within the School, you are expected to demonstrate a significant personal commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, as well as a dedication to research in the field of Business Analytics. Additionally, you should be actively involved in academic and professional activities, including discipline development and administrative matters. Your responsibilities also include supervising Honours, Masters, or PhD students, and ensuring compliance with university regulations and commitment to equity.

About you
You should possess a relevant qualification in Analytics/Data Sciences and demonstrated academic expertise in fields like data analytics, information systems, programming, and management science. Your strong research track record should showcase your ability to publish in top-tier international peer-reviewed journals and secure research funding. Additionally, you should have experience supervising honours and HDR research students and a commitment to high-quality teaching, including curriculum development. Your involvement in service activities, engagement with the research community and industry bodies, and ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams are essential aspects of your role.
