About You
Are you a Senior Learning Designer with a passion for blended learning, digital innovation, and authentic assessment design? Are you a creative problem-solver with excellent project and stakeholder management, design thinking, negotiation, and persuasive skills? Can you unpack complex information quickly and think critically? Do you have strong mentorship and collaboration abilities? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
In this role, you will have the chance to lead the design and development of cutting-edge, blended learning programs that foster student engagement and success. You will work closely with the schools and staff to create authentic assessments that align with program outcomes, RMIT Capabilities and you will be responsible for ensuring that all our learning experiences are up to date with the latest digital technologies.
To be successful in this position, you will need experience in:
Leading the design and development of blended learning programs that leverage digital technologies to enhance student engagement and success.
Collaborating with school and staff to create authentic assessments that align with program outcomes and RMIT capabilities.
Staying current with the latest digital technologies and trends in blended learning and assessment design.
Encouraging innovation and building staff digital learning capabilities.
Ensuring that all learning experiences are designed with the needs of students, school, and industry partners in mind.
Managing several simultaneous projects and stakeholders effectively, using design thinking, negotiation, and persuasive skills to drive results.
Providing mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and critical thinking.
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
About the Team
Program and Digital Development (within the College of Business and Law ) is a future-focused, discipline specific, program and course design and development (new and refresh); digital and blended learning; learning design by using:
Student-centred principles and practices to create engaging, relevant and informative learning journeys;
UX, SX and digital development in courses and programs;
Purposeful use of educational technology;
Program and course design and development including English Language support;
Curriculum, assessment and pedagogy consultation and evaluation;
Design and embedding of micro-credentials in curriculum; and
Leading blended learning implementation in the College.
