About the role

The overall purpose of the Senior International Enquiry and Conversion Officer is to coordinate the organisational, communications and administrative functions of the International Enquiry and Conversion unit, ensuring efficient operations and high-level customer service to prospective international students.

The Senior International Enquiry and Conversion Officer will support the development and implementation of strategies focused on delivering nurturing communications across multiple channels to international applicants and leads. 

An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Deliver excellent customer service, as the first point of contact for international students and visitors, in response to enquiries received face-to-face, electronically (e.g. email and Facebook) and telephone.
  • Coordinate organisational, communications and administrative functions to ensure the unit’s efficient operations.
  • Supervise a team of International Student Officers providing direct customer service via multiple channels to prospective international students.
  • Provide general information and factual advice to prospective international students and generate standard correspondence to routine enquiries.
  • Liaise effectively with organisational units and staff beyond VU Global to ensure smooth acceptance and enrolment for international students. 

This is a full-time continuing position at a HEP6 $85,667 - $92,728 classification plus 17% superannuation, working 36.75 hours per week.

About the person

Successful applicants will have:

  • a degree-level qualification and/or extensive administrative and customer service experience in a related field.
  • broad knowledge of the Australian education system and government policy affecting international students.
  • demonstrated commitment and capacity to deliver high quality client/customer service.
  • excellent organisational skills with the ability to determine priorities, schedule work to meet deadlines.
