About the position

This pivotal role is at the heart of our philanthropic endeavors, driving fundraising and engagement initiatives to support research and scholarships that have a real-world impact.

As a Senior Development Manager, you'll leverage your expertise to cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, inspiring philanthropic support for La Trobe's groundbreaking research and scholarship programs. You'll strategize, develop, and manage comprehensive fundraising campaigns, ensuring alignment with our university's ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of major gift prospects.
  • Design and implement innovative cultivation and stewardship strategies.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and develop funding opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in philanthropic fundraising or related fields.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building meaningful relationships.
