About You

The Senior Audio Visual Solutions Engineer is responsible for providing quality, customer focused AV consultancy and design services to RMIT technology stakeholders.

The Senior AV Solutions Engineer is a member of the Audio Visual team that is complemented by industry partners and vendors, this team forms part of the end user technology services team in the ITS division.
The Senior AV Solutions Engineer will develop stakeholder requirements, provide supporting documentation including schematic design and AV functional design deliverables within our programs to ensure alignment with RMIT AV standards. In addition to this the role works with leadership to drive AV strategy and architecture.

The Senior AV Solutions Engineer will build effective lasting relationships in a collaborative and engaging manner with internal & external stakeholders.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

  • Significant experience within a technical AV environment working on large scale projects.

  • Demonstrated AV installation experience

  • Demonstrated experience in AV design services, ideally in a learning and teaching environment

  • Experience with Crestron, AMX & Extron is desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships in a collaborative and engaging manner with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated analytical and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and delivery a quality service to the University

Information Technology Services

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides RMIT University with Information and Communication Technology systems and services. Our role is to support RMIT’s high quality teaching, learning, research and administrative activities.
