The Position

The Senior Administrator, IP Portfolio will assist with the management of the ANU's extensive IP portfolio, with a major focus on management of patent costs and distribution of income in under the ANU IP policy and support the other activities within the Commercialisation and IP team. The Senior Administrator will have significant responsibility for contributing to team projects, primarily reviewing, and improving procedures and processes related to the management of IP-related costs and distribution of any associated revenue, according to the ANU IP policy. They will develop guidelines and SOPs to ensure proper financial management of the IP portfolio, including those related to information management and reporting.

The Person
As a successful applicant, you will have great attention to detail and highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple (often complex) activities at the same time. The ability to work independently and proactively will be key in this role. You will work under broad direction from your supervisor, and with support from the C&IP team, to identify issues and propose solutions to solve them. The role will require frequent use of multiple University systems and records, a high degree of computer literacy will be necessary as will the ability to consult reference documents and system guides for self-guided learning (As a complement to training and support provided by the Office team). Understanding of, or interest in, the major aspects of official IP registration process, as well as knowledge of the ANU Financial administration system will be highly regarded, but not essential.
