The Position 

This is an exciting new position responsible for providing effective administrative support to the University Department of Rural Health South West (UDRH SW), including marketing, website maintenance, correspondence, planning, events administration support, and general administrative support for the Academic Clinical Education staff in providing student and clinician orientation and training. The role involves working in a small and supportive team that is innovative and dynamic.

The term of appointment is linked to a Commonwealth funding grant, however, there is possibility for extensions aligned to future funding renewals. 

The Person 
To succeed in this pivotal support role will require the following experience and capabilities:.

  • Diploma or equivalent level of expertise plus subsequent experience OR equivalent gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
  • Experience in providing high-level administrative support within a large organization.  Highly proficient with Microsoft suite of products.
  • Clear communication skills to communicate with colleagues, students and visitors of the UDRH SW.
  • Ability to work in a team or individually to efficiently achieve results

The Position Context
The UDRH SW is a Commonwealth Government (externally funded) nationally networked University Department of Rural Health. Located at ECU in Bunbury, and  operating through an integrated interdisciplinary model of education, the UDRH SW will provide outstanding rural training experiences for health students across WA tertiary institutions, within their professionally accredited courses including: Nursing & Midwifery; Social Work; Occupational Therapy; Speech Pathology; Psychology; Exercise Physiology; Physiotherapy; Nutrition and Dietetics; Paramedicine; Dentistry; Medical Sonography; Optometry; Audiology; Pharmacy.   This is a critical role to set up robust systems for the UDRH SW and support students and the growing UDRH SW team.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time fixed term position attracts remuneration of $78,854 to $87,624 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
