Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Administration Officer to join QUT College, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.

QUT College is seeking an experienced and motivated team player to join the Administration team to deliver high quality, effective and efficient support for College students and teaching staff. The Senior Administration Officer role is dynamic and suited to those who are excited by the opportunity to coordinate a broad range of student lifecycle activities. The makeup of the College Admin team is such that this role includes elements of student engagement, study plan management, teacher support, logistics, and a focus on examination and results coordination that includes recruitment and supervision of casual staff.

What you need to succeed

  • Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience.
  • Well developed administrative and organisational skills with a proven ability to effectively plan and prioritise tasks with limited direction to meet deadlines and balance competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to display initiative, contribute new ideas, evaluate current systems and processes, and contribute to ongoing improvements in the provision of student services.
  • Demonstration interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with, and provide excellent service to , a diverse client group in a cross-cultural environment, and evidence of the ability to work effectively within a team. 
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures, data, and legislation to deliver high-quality services.
  • Demonstrated digital literacy skills including Office 365 and knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, university systems used to manage reporting and student records.
