The Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SET) is a thriving centre of learning, teaching and research in a vast range of engineering and science schools and disciplines. The Centre for Stem Education and Innovation (CSEI) brings together education and STEM discipline experts to lead the development and delivery of critical courses. Strategically placed within the University’s Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, CSEI’s role is to create exciting education offerings for students by drawing on the wealth of expertise across the Faculty. Our undergraduate and postgraduate courses cover core engineering and technology subjects including Mechanics Technology, Systems and Complex Systems Engineering, Programming (Matlab, C and Excel), Business Management Studies, Research Methods, Communications and Critical Thinking.
We are seeking dedicated and passionate casual staff to assist with the delivery of our Semester 2 undergraduate and postgraduate course offering, commencing Monday 22 July 2024.

- Ensure you meet the essential criteria:
- Conferral of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field
- Good technical knowledge of the key teaching components of the courses you are applying for
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical information to students
- Available and flexible to meet the minimum hourly/sessional requirements for the course
- Able to work collegially to support excellent teaching within the School
- Are an Australian citizen or possess eligible Australian working visa*
*Please note: Prospective employees are required to provide evidence of their Australian citizenship or working rights.
- Consider the desired criteria:
- Conferral of a postgraduate degree in a relevant field
- Teaching qualifications or formal training
- Previous experience with casual work within the School
- Demonstrated ability to educate or mentor students
- Evidence of good student feedback in student evaluations
- Evidence of good feedback from course coordinators
