About the Role
The Selection Officer is responsible for assessing applications for admission to DSC coursework programs for VTAC and direct applicants, including applicants from RMIT Online, as well as undertaking assessment of applications for offshore partners. This position ensures approved selection methodology is applied, in accordance with the University Admissions and Credit policy and program entry requirements. This role ensures applications are processed efficiently in line with agreed service levels. The role also provides customer service to DSC applicants and prospective students, handling enquiries via multiple channels. In addition, this role contributes to the effective operation of the Student and Program Lifecycle team and participates in continuous improvement and development initiatives.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of high-quality administration services, including a sound knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to investigate and make informed decisions regarding complex issues.
Demonstrated skills in managing time, setting priorities, planning and organising workloads.
Relevant experience in a University environment (desirable).
