SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
$74,435 to $79,279 pa (60% pro-rata) (HEW 4)
SOUTH WEST (BUNBURY) CAMPUS
PART-TIME 0.6 FTE, ONGOING

Edith Cowan University’s School of Education is Western Australia’s largest provider of Initial Teacher Education programs. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced School/Technical Officer professional to join an interdisciplinary team that provides administration and technical support to our teaching and research programs.

The combined Technical Officer/Admin role on the South West (SW) Campus requires a flexible and organised candidate to support the School of Education in delivering its academic program and associated processes to the South West campus. The role is required to manage multiple responsibilities in technical and administrative tasks, communicate and act as a link between campuses and support accountabilities for consistency and equity in delivering our educational program. In addition, the Technician/Administration role also provides support and coordination for Teaching Performance Assessments (TPA), acts as the School H&S Representative and provided hand on support for events held within the School for the SW campus.

The ideal candidate will have a technical and administrative support background in Western Australian educational contexts. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for working with Academic Staff, students (research students and pre-service teachers), and other stakeholders with a variety of knowledge and understanding of the discipline area.

While primarily located at the South West campus, the role requires a willingness to help colleagues and support administration and technical staff in other education disciplines when needed across the metropolitan campuses.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
