As Australia’s National Science Agency, our research teams at CSIRO are working hard to develop efficient and low-cost processes to add value to Australia’s large natural gas reserves, and there are number of research projects currently underway to achieve the best scientific outcomes. One of such innovative developments is the ‘Plasma Bubble Reactor Technology’, designed to use renewable energy for power generation and offering a promising future for energy carrier productions.

As a Research Projects Engineer in this domain, you will be joining our talented ‘Gas Process Engineering’ team in Melbourne, that invented this novel plasma technology. Bringing your technical expertise into the team, you will play a critical role in supporting various research project activities, particularly on plasma enhanced CO2 to methanol reactions. In this multi-faceted role, you will be involved in variety of activities such as rig configuration, reactor fabrication, catalyst synthesis, rig testing, results analysis, characterisation work, and more!
