• Base Salary $118,390 - $131,711 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Clinical Trials Centre is seeking a Research Fellow to conduct collaborative evidence synthesis projects addressing high-priority research questions and to advance related methodological research, particularly for individual participant data meta-analysis. This niche and specialised position will require an experienced, proactive, and knowledgeable candidate with excellent writing skills to enable the dissemination of findings in high-impact publications. Eligible candidates must have experience leading their own research projects and obtaining competitive funding.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Conduct individual participant data meta-analysis projects to answer high-priority research questions

• conduct methodological research to advance the field of evidence synthesis

• contribute to the research and administrative activities of the team

• disseminate findings via high-impact publications and conference presentation

• lead your own research projects and collaborate with relevant team members to achieve pre-determined goals and objectives

• work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders (including international personnel) to ensure the success of projects

• complete any ad-hoc tasks, activities or roles as needed

About you

• PhD or near completion of PhD in a relevant field

• proven experience in the use of statistical and analytical software such as R

• previous experience in the use of grant funding and leading individual research projects

• exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to work with domestic and international personnel

• experience in co-supervising junior staff and research team

• ability to travel for conferences as needed (may be funded by the University where applicable).
