The Opportunity
Are you a dedicated researcher with a passion for enhancing communication in aged care facilities? We're seeking a Research Fellow to join our team and contribute to the exciting project, "Engaging residents and families about managing psychotropic medicines in aged care facilities." This project, funded by the Australian Research Council, aims to delve into the intricacies of communication dynamics surrounding medication management in aged care settings. If you're eager to explore how verbal and nonverbal interactions, as well as environmental factors, influence communication in this context, we want to hear from you.
As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to conduct interviews, qualitative observations, and co-design workshops across diverse aged care facilities. By participating in the testing and implementation of co-designed strategies, you'll play a vital role in developing innovative solutions to enhance resident and family involvement in medication decisions.
We're seeking a candidate with a PhD in a health-related discipline, coupled with proficiency in ethnographic research, reflexive engagement, aged care, and co-design methodologies, as well as hands-on experience in the Australian healthcare system conducting interviews, observations and co-design workshops.
Join us in making a meaningful impact on the lives of residents and families in aged care facilities. Apply now to be part of this groundbreaking research project.
