The Opportunity

Monash University has an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join the Department of Architecture and work on a CRC research project. The Research Fellow will lead the exploration and prototypical development of computational design solutions in support of industrialised building. This will involve prototypical development and implementation of parametric and generative design solutions integrated with coding techniques, to deliver computational strategies that can iterate design solutions and improve construction processes.

The Research Fellow will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research either as part of a team or independently. The Research Fellow will also be responsible for producing conference papers and publications, participating in professional activities such as conferences and seminars and administrative tasks related to the academic's research.

To be successful in this position you must have demonstrated computational design skills, including parametric and generative design, as well as proficiency in coding/programming, particularly in developing computational design tools and applications. Demonstrated advanced literacy and proficiency in the development and implementation of BIM and Architectural software such as Revit or Rhino/Grasshopper applications is also key to success in this position.
