The Opportunity

Are you passionate about evidence-based research that impacts healthcare policy and practice? We're seeking a motivated individual to join our team and contribute to the advancement of living evidence synthesis methods.

As a Research Fellow, you'll collaborate with Cochrane Australia and the Australian Living Evidence Consortium teams to conduct living evidence synthesis. Your role will involve identifying, screening, appraising, and synthesizing evidence to inform living evidence summaries that underpin living guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent and team-based research, producing papers and publications
  • Contribute to research proposal submissions to external funding bodies
  • Perform administrative functions related to research activities
  • Occasionally contribute to teaching programs within the field of research
  • Attend meetings associated with research and organizational units
  • Other duties as directed

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent research experience
  • Strong manuscript and research proposal preparation skills with a track record of refereed publications
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and analytical software
  • Experience with systematic evidence syntheses and guideline development
  • Familiarity with GRADE guideline development methods and NHMRC Guideline Approval requirements
