We are currently seeking Technical Officers for our eligibility list for Casual opportunities for an immediate start.
About the Role
The Technical Officer is responsible for the maintenance of the Academic Pathways Program Laboratory and works with the subject teachers and coordinators to provide the services required to run practical sessions.

The following broad disciplines will require backfilling: Chemistry and Biology

The successful candidate will have experience in the use, care and maintenance of scientific equipment as well as techniques used for the teaching of first-year level University Sciences, Sound knowledge and experience of WHS practices, procedures and processes as they relate to a laboratory environment and a current Senior First Aid Certificate

Appropriate induction and training will be arranged for the selected candidate(s) prior to covering any class(es).

Working with Children Check: As this position is expected to involve direct or unsupervised contact with children, and in accordance with legislative requirements, in order to commence working at The College, it is a requirement to obtain a “NSW Working with Children Check Clearance”. The screening involves checking that you are not a ‘disqualified person’ as per the meaning of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012. No disqualified person will be retained in or appointed to work in child related employment within The College.

Remuneration: Casual hourly rate -Professional staff rate Level 5 $55.08 per hour in accordance with the College Enterprise Agreement.
