The Role
The Project Officer will work closely with the DCS Buildings and Services Team and City Campus Program Team but will report to the Project Manager – City Campus Operationalisation (Facility Operations and Technology). 

This team will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering the detailed work, resources and dependencies across initiatives in the Facility Operations workstream of the City Campus Operations Program, in line with organisational methodologies, controls and requirements. This includes planning of project outcomes, benefits, deliverables, schedules, resources, budget, communications, reporting and risk management.  


Required skills and experience

  • Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience, or relevant tertiary qualification with extensive project management experience and proven project management expertise.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in assisting in the delivery of major building projects and an understanding of the construction industry legislative framework, planning approval processes and building contracts and developing programme plans, managing relevant resources and reviewing progress to ensure the delivery of agreed project outcomes.
    • Knowledge of major and minor construction and refurbishment works, delivery of contemporary space, major procurement strategies, financial management, budgeting, forecast cash flows and reporting.
    • Sound knowledge of all aspects of project management in the construction, refurbishment and fitout sector.
    • Exemplary organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full-time fixed term 5 year position attracts remuneration of $85,551 to $92,301 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
