About You


You will provide support for the City North Social Innovation Precinct project, a major project that will shape the future of RMIT’s City North Precinct. You will be part of a supportive, collaborative team which works closely with executives from across the institution to solve complex problems and explore areas for growth, innovation and social impact. The Project Coordinator provides administrative support, including workshop coordination and managing team and project documentation. Your excellent planning and organisational capabilities, and effective communication skills will see you thrive in the role.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have / you’ll have as a minimum:

  • Ability to work across multiple projects in a complex and fast-paced work environment.

  • Experience organising workshops and/or events.

  • Expert in the use of Microsoft Office programs particularly PowerPoint.

  • Excellent organisational skills able to prioritise work, meet deadlines and respond flexibly to rapidly changing priorities.

  • Innovative and willing to suggest and make improvements to our processes.

About the Group

The Policy, Strategy and Impact (PSI) Portfolio provides focus and momentum for the projects and priorities that were identified in Knowledge With Action: RMIT’s Strategic Plan, developed in 2022.

PSI works to support and advance the implementation of RMIT’s strategic priorities, including through strategy projects, Indigenous engagement, innovative partnerships, public policy & government relations and capability development.

PSI includes diverse teams such as the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, the Ngarara Willim Centre, the Australian APEC Study Centre, RMIT Activator, Workforce Innovation and Development Institute, Innovation Catalyst and the Health Transformation Lab.  

The portfolio works as a network of collaborative and inclusive teams, working to develop and extend an ‘impact ecosystem’ of relationships and partnerships across and beyond the university PSI teams provide a distinctive set of evidence-driven, innovation, public policy and community engagement expertise.
