PRIMARY DETAIL

• From $64,305 - $73,413 (HEW Level 3), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading.
• Appointment Type: Full Time, 12 month fixed term contract.
• Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, Dharug land, North Ryde

THE ROLE

The newly recruited Project Assistant will play a key role in providing project administrative support for initiatives in the Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion portfolio.
 

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Provide project administration support and initiatives within Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Support student and stakeholder engagement, planning, and communications as directed.
  • Support project methodology and delivery approach, ensuring appropriate record keeping.
  • Record project activities, milestones and deliverables and prepare data and reports as required.
  • Maintain the risk register for portfolio projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain relevant data and information to inform decision-making on key projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documentation.
  • Comply with relevant EEO and WHS regulations.
  • Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic (DVC-A) is the chief academic officer of the University and is the member of the University Executive with overall responsibility for the planning, quality and delivery of education provided to Macquarie's undergraduate and graduate students.
Within the DVC(A), the Dean of Students has overall responsibility for student support services and student experience including Student Engagement, Equity, Diversity and Belonging, Complaints and Misconduct and Student Wellbeing Services.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in customer service or administration
  • Experience completing project administration functions, including documentation and communications, with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using business systems, including databases, and running of reports
  • Ability to build and manage partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work and communicate effectively with other
