About the Role
As the Program Officer, Career Mentoring, you'll be at the forefront of coordinating impactful programs and digital solutions that connect students with industry representatives and our thriving alumni community. Your role will play a pivotal part in boosting students' career knowledge through various initiatives, including diverse mentoring programs, engaging alumni panels, and key employability events. 

You'll not only be responsible for program coordination but also for building strong relationships across the university. As a key business partner for Faculties and Alumni Relations, you'll provide invaluable guidance and support to enhance existing alumni-to-student programs. Join us in shaping the future of student success and alumni engagement.  

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting existing programs connecting alumni with students for career exploration, professional networking, and employability development.
  • Developing expertise in the management of the Chronus mentoring platform, especially in platform configuration, and user support. 
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop initiatives that prioritize a student-centered and coordinated approach, optimizing information access for students, staff, and alumni.

Who we are looking for
We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates initiative, possesses a strong eagerness to learn, and exhibits technical proficiency in managing CRM systems. You will showcase robust creative and problem-solving abilities, along with the capability to devise solutions tailored to meet client requirements. Utilising your outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as the capacity to synthesise information, you will craft visually compelling communications for diverse audiences. Your expertise in stakeholder engagement will enable you to build networks and establish effective liaisons with a broad spectrum of internal and external contacts.

You will also have:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or substantial experience in designing and implementing career mentoring and employability programs for higher education students. 
  • Displayed service excellence by exceeding expectations, taking ownership of tasks, and collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common objectives. 
  • Proficiency in utilising online platforms and managing CRM systems. 
  • Proven robust organisational and project management skills, adept at planning, prioritising, monitoring, and evaluating projects with overlapping deadlines.
