About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Professor of Physiotherapy to enhance the quality of Physiotherapy education and research at Swinburne University and join our team in the Discipline of Physiotherapy within the Department of Nursing and Allied Health.

As the Professor of Physiotherapy, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to elevate the standards of Physiotherapy education and research. Your role will involve leading research initiatives within the Nursing and Allied Health disciplines, shaping the future of our curriculum, and driving innovation in blended models of unit delivery.

About You 
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Demonstrated strong capacity to build and lead research teams and partnerships and in practice research supervision to achieve high impact research outcomes, with a proven research track record.
  • Demonstrated high standard of experience in tertiary teaching including a record of co-ordination, teaching and curriculum development and teaching in Physiotherapy Education.
  • Experience with online learning and teaching methods in Physiotherapy education including creation or use of leading edge/best practice delivery methods such as flexible delivery formats.
  • Proven ability to source and grow clinical partnerships and support student placements.
  • Experience in supporting program accreditation requirements
  • Demonstrated high standard of clinical experience in Physiotherapy
  • A high degree of organisational and administrative skills and capacity to contribute to the management of the course, program delivery and lead and mentor staff and students

Qualifications

  • A PhD appropriate to the Physiotherapy Discipline
  • AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist.
