The Role
WAAPA is seeking a Production Manager to work closely with the Associate Dean Production and Design, Academic and Professional staff to manage the production process at WAAPA. This role will line manage a Production Coordinator and casual staff as required. This is a fixed-term replacement position while the incumbent is seconded to work on the transition to City Campus.
You will be an excellent communicator, capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be highly organised and comfortable with working to tight deadlines. You will also enjoy using your highly developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and devise mutually beneficial solutions.
Key Criteria
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience managing the production process in a performing arts environment. You will be able to demonstrate:
- The capability to undertake complex project management across the full life cycle from identification to completion, preferably with experience in project management including leading teams engaged in such projects.
- Highly developed relationship building and negotiation skills, including expertise in written and oral communication, preferably with direct experience in enabling diverse stakeholders to work together to achieve change.
- The ability to act with high levels of autonomy, initiative, adaptability, and with attention to detail.
- Experience leading teams in supporting live theatre productions and/or music performances, including broad technical skills adaptable to different performing arts scenarios.
- A good understanding of the unique operational and technical challenges presented by performing arts in an educational context,

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed-term position attracts remuneration of $97,113 to $108,813 pa (HEW 7) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
