The primary role of a Postgraduate Student Ambassador is to assist with the marketing of UNSW’s postgraduate graduate degrees by undertaking calling campaigns to increase enrolments within postgraduate programs. Student Ambassadors are often the first point of contact that prospective students will have with UNSW. 

This role will:  

  • Work on our regular postgraduate calling campaigns, by contacting prospective students who have applied for a postgraduate course but have not yet accepted their offers. 
  • Utilise influencing, active listening and rapport building skills to encourage students to accept their offer or enrol. 
  • Participate in the coordination of activities, events, workshops and presentations where required. 
  • Assist with accurate documentation of information and maintain and update database and systems 
  • Actively participate in on-the-job training for relevant duties.   
  • Align with and actively demonstrate the UNSW Values in Action: Our Behaviours and the UNSW Code of Conduct .
  • Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of yourself or others.  

Skills and Experience: 

  • Current UNSW postgraduate student. 
  • Good communication and listening skills (including via face-to-face, phone and email) 
  • Ability to follow direction and procedures and perform tasks in timely manner. 
  • Be reliable and punctual for the shifts you signed in.
