Overview

ECU’s School of Science and Conservation & Biodiversity Research Centre are seeking a recent PhD graduate in the field of plant ecology and conservation to work on a range of research projects involving the establishment and monitoring of viable translocated populations of rare plant species, as well as other research designed to improve the conservation outcomes for such species. This includes applying knowledge of plant population genetics to the design and implementation of rare plant translocations. The work is in collaboration with and funded by our Industry Partner and so experience in working constructively with funding bodies and stakeholders is desirable, as is a track record in translating research into tangible actions. Experience in working in research teams across multiple institutions, as well as experience in supervision of student projects will be valued.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $110,065 to $130,045 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
