About the opportunity
The Organisational Improvement Facilitator will drive organisational effectiveness by supporting the development and implementation of a University-wide continuous improvement framework, facilitating strategically-aligned improvement activities and initiatives, fostering a people-centric change culture, and building institutional capability in effective continuous improvement methods and mindset.
What you’ll do:
- Support the on-going refinement and development of the University’s continuous improvement framework
- Identify key areas for improvement by analysing organisational challenges and opportunities, such as staff surveys, processes, systems, and workflows.
- Proactively build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop, practice and lead University staff proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and tools, through use of training, coaching and facilitation of business process improvement events and initiatives.
- Consult with program sponsors, working groups and key internal stakeholders to identify and develop solutions that are fit-for-purpose and aligned with the University’s strategic objectives.
- Assist in the development, implementation and reporting of strategies aimed at optimising efficiency and quality in the planning, implementation and review of business improvement projects.
What we’re looking for:
- Understanding of business analysis and process improvement frameworks (e.g. IIBA, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and expertise in applying them to improvement activities and initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in design and facilitation of stakeholder engagement events (e.g. workshops, focus groups, interviews, etc.) focused on requirements elicitation, collaborative problem solving, or solution co-design.
- The ability to create and sustain a participatory environment and guide individuals and groups to appropriate and useful outcomes.
- Successful development and implementation of training programs
- Experience in developing and maintaining a strategic network of relationships and partnerships, with a particular focus on whole-of-institution engagement.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $123,548 comprising base salary within the range of $96,071 to $105,597 plus 17% superannuation.
