The Role

The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of a diverse range of minor capital and renovations projects whilst providing coordination support for major MEP projects at RMIT Vietnam, in order to ensure the effective use of space and to maintain a high standard of facilities within buildings on campus.  Minor capital projects cover small scale infrastructure, building interior space upgrade projects to sustain and improve teaching, learning and working environment. This position will manage technical drawings, specifications and project reports.

Skills and Experience

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical subject (Thermal Engineering Technology). 

  • At least five (5) years of experience in a similar MEP Project Coordinator with a sound understanding of Project management methodology, especially relating to MEP works.

  • Ability to read, draw, and modify existing drawings using CAD software (2D & 3D). Experience of BIM related software is also desirable.

  • Experience in coordinating and implementing infrastructure projects by checking design drawing/shop drawing/as-built drawing/material submission, supervising contractor’s installation work including Testing & Commissioning and external consultant’s activity.

  • Experience in the preparation of flowcharts, schedules, action plans and simple budget tracking.

  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.

  • Strong stakeholder relationship management and teamwork skills.

  • Experience in managing risks & problem solving.

  • Working knowledge of general compliance to local regulations.

  • Experience of applying IT technology into communication and project management will be well regarded.
