Are you passionate about crafting personalised direct communication campaigns that resonate with target audiences, drive engagement and support conversion?

As the Marketing Engagement Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in leveraging key digital platforms, including our automation tool, Marketo, to analyse and craft user-centric journeys that guide students through each stage of their university decision-making process. By delivering valuable information to the right audience at the right time, you’ll contribute to nurturing prospective students from initial interest to application, through to offer acceptance.

Under the guidance of the Marketing Automation and Conversion Consultant, and in close collaboration with key stakeholders, you’ll orchestrate the end-to-end development and on-going optimisation of tailored and engaging communications across our direct marketing channels, including email and SMS.

You will also be responsible for


  • Developing audience-focused, personalised communications across our nurture programs within our Marketing Automation platform, Marketo, to support application and enrolment targets.
  • Coordinate end-to-end execution of direct marketing campaigns, including strategic planning, targeting, segmentation, creative development, deployment and performance tracking in line with brand and strategic objectives.
  • Utilise audience data and analytics to identify target segments and personalise marketing messages for maximum impact.
  • Supporting the digital and organic promotional requirements for our calendar of recruitment events to drive lead acquisition and promote these opportunities to engage with Curtin to our database.
  • Monitoring and assessing the performance of our engagement programs and identifying opportunities to ensure we continually meet the ever-changing needs of our key audiences by staying up to date with Curtin’s product offerings, industry trends and audience insights.
  • Collaborating closely with teams within University Marketing and stakeholders across the wider university to maintain cohesion and alignment.
  • Ensure Curtin’s engagement activities comply with relevant standards, legislation, policies and brand guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will have


  • Completed relevant qualifications, or equivalent experience in digital marketing
  • Demonstrated understanding of direct marketing principles to deliver effective direct email marketing campaigns and communication strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in using digital marketing platforms and analytics tools would be highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
  • Experience or working knowledge of email marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, Sales Force, Eloqua, Campaign Monitor or Mailchimp would be highly desirable.
