  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University 


 


About The Position: 


 
The Marketing Coordinator at RMIT plays a pivotal role in managing diverse projects aimed at promoting RMIT products and activities, providing crucial marketing support, project planning, and implementation of digital initiatives in alignment with the College's marketing, digital, and student recruitment strategies. 


 


Responsibilities include planning and project managing Experience activities, creating and sourcing content assets for various platforms, engaging academic and professional stakeholders through artifact curation and communication, conducting market research and analysis for targeted messaging, collaborating with stakeholders to coordinate Experience activities, monitoring and evaluating marketing efforts, ensuring service excellence, and performing other duties as directed.  


 


This role requires a proactive and organized individual with strong project management skills, creative thinking abilities, and a deep understanding of marketing principles to drive student engagement, enhance brand awareness, and contribute to the overall success of RMIT's marketing and recruitment initiatives. 


 


To be successful in this position, you’ll have: 


 


1. Experience in all aspects of marketing in a large corporate or institutional setting, preferably in the tertiary education sector. 


2. Ability to tailor strategies to meet specific objectives and manage multiple projects concurrently. 


3. Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource management skills. 


4. The ability to provide targeted information to future students and stakeholders. 


5. Proven ability to work autonomously, and to collaborate closely with team members and extended marketing teams in the University to support key objectives, and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both inside and outside the University; 


6. Demonstrated understanding about the role of marketing and student recruitment in a tertiary education environment. 


7. Demonstrated high-level computer skills and experience using databases, Internet and design software.
