  • We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to join our vibrant team at Dementia Training Australia
  • Level 8, part-time 0.8 FTE on a 14 months fixed term basis
  • Base salary range: $106,775 – $116,709 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the team

Dementia Training Australia (DTA) is responsible for the translation of contemporary knowledge regarding dementia care through the development and delivery of training resources to the dementia care workforce. DTA is a collaboration between four Australian universities and Dementia Australia and is led by the University of Wollongong. Auspiced by the University of Western Australia’s Western Australian Centre for Health and Ageing, DTA (UWA) forms a key linkage between research and industry.

About the opportunity

As the appointee, you will take a lead role and provide operational management for all activities undertaken by UWA for DTA.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency in a Health Sciences discipline
  • Substantial management experience
  • Experience in project management desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high-level consultation skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, and email
  • Demonstrated ability to develop plans for resource use and manage resources
  • Ability to supervise staff Demonstrated ability to contribute to long-term planning and key strategic direction
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and manage a considerable area
